  • I am a Japanese PS4 player, but the Japanese version has not been announced. Is there a Japanese version on PS4? Or do you have Japanese in the US version like Zombie Army Trilogy?

  • Hi. There is no specific Japanese release of the game, but all versions will contain Japanese translation for subtitles and in-game text.

  • I wonder, in the original SE v2 you have to pick up weapon specific ammo, and the revised Rebellion game engine used in SE3 and SE4 you can pick up ammo types such as machine gun ammo that can be used in all machine guns. Is it still weapon specific ammo in SE v2 Remastered like the original or the slightly improved SE4 scavenge system?

  • This particular gameplay system has not been changed in the Remaster. Much of the gameplay has been kept original in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. Some players like that the game is different from SE3 and SE4 and some even prefer the way things were in the older games.

  • I can see that it's simpler this way but it feels weird driving a fixed turret tank after so long of playing battlefield. Maybe add a tank with rotatable turret as an option?

  • We prototyped it, actually. We had two basic tank types called Lightning and Magrider after the Planetside 2 schemes being, respectively a turreted tank and a tank destroyer type. You can't strafe in the lightning control scheme (LS left and right rotates your tank). It sort of worked okay but, as you'll know from Battlefield, you can often end up moving in a slightly unexpected direction when you press forward is your hull and gun aren't lined up. Fine in a flat game but actually quite unpleasant in VR. It really triggers motion sickness when you move in an unpredicted way. It was a pretty easy call to go the Magrider route because of this but that's not to say the Lightning wasn't fun! Totally was, just not right for Battlezone's arcadey gameplay.

  • One of my favourite new combat techniques is the improved kick which is very effective for knocking down zombies when they invade your personal space. You can then follow up with a very satisfying stomp to squish their head once they are on the floor :-)

  • The gameplay style in V2 was considered a bit unfair as the AI would target the players location and find them too easily. I believe the calculated revisions we have made to the AI make it a vastly improved and fun experience! AI will actually tactically flank around areas where other AI have died repeatedly and hunt the player down. It was important to us to ensure that there were visions systems that communicated what the AI were doing but all player aids and GUI can be customised too!

  • I think if you were a fan of the AI in Sniper Elite you will thoroughly enjoy the experience in Sniper 3. We had a lot of fans stop by at E3 who were fans of the original and were loving the AI behaviour and the way they hunt you down!
